CBA is excited to welcome our new Director of Operations, Shamir-Rivera Quintal.
Shamir brings robust experience in management, operations, and community engagement to the newly created Director of Operations position. Shamir knows Lowell and is invested in seeing community-based development thrive. Her involvement with CBA goes back to childhood when her mom, Maria Lopez, was an active volunteer. As Director of Operations, she will be developing strategic plans, budgets, and evaluation processes with the senior management team.
Previously, Shamir spent three years with Project LEARN, Inc. as the Associate Director of Development and Programs, where she managed the community engagement program, budget, and annual reports, and supported fundraising efforts for the Lowell Public Schools. She has written grants for the Lowell Loves to Learn BookNooks and managed volunteer outreach. Shamir’s previous positions at IBM Resilient and Constant Contact provided experience in developing social media and web content, operational systems, event organizing, and management. Shamir graduated from Bowdoin College and Lowell High School.
