CBA's Work in the Community

CBA is a membership based community development corporation (CDC) dedicated to resident empowerment and sustainable community revitalization for current and future residents of all neighborhoods of Lowell . Our mission is to promote healthy, vibrant neighborhoods by developing resident leaders, affordable housing and economic opportunities, and by responding to community needs through collective action. We strive for Lowell's neighborhoods to be affordable, vibrant and diverse, places of choice where residents are engaged leaders, and where local stakeholders work in partnership to build family and community assets.

Through its community outreach efforts, CBA provides opportuities for leadership development and communication with public officials; organizes multiple community-building forums such as the Khmer Connection, annual lake trip, and Neighborhood Clean-up Day; and provides direct services in partnership with other local organizations, such as the Home Preservation Coalition (CTI) and the Homework Club (LHA).
